TILP Offers New CLP Course 2009
The official press release from TILP Online confirmed that this year the programme Certified Localisation Professional is now open for registrations.
The start date is subject to minimum registrations but expected to be Monday, June 8th.
The programme, which is now in its second year, is an online course with a final onsite training and completion module. Below are details for the level 1 certification. Level 2 is highly anticipated but no word on that has made it to the public as of yet!
Programme sponsors include Alchemy Software Development, SDL and Multilingual Computing. Participants cash in on interesting slides that cover the needs for translators and project managers in the localisation, internationalisation and globalisation industry, created by industry professionals.
In addition to the ten online self-learning modules the participants get the chance to work on training projects with the leading localisation technology applicatons and gain full understanding in the processes related to all localisation phases.
Course fees start from as little as € 200 including Alchemy Catalyst 8.0 Translator/Pro Edition*, SDL Trados 2009 Freelance Edition*, SDL Passolo** and Alchemy Catalyst 8.0 Localizer Edition**.

- Localisation Kitting and File Preparation
- MS Windows-based User Interface Localisation Tools

- Introduction to Test Plans, Scripts/Cases, Bug Reporting and Classification
- Introduction to Website Localisation
- Introduction to Localisation Project Management
