Linguistic QA
We are currently looking for linguistic QA workers to join our growing games department. This is not a games tester position but a role to actively assist the localisation department. We are primarily looking for candidates with the following languages:
- English
- Korean
- Japanese
- Chinese
- German
- Spanish
- French
- Dutch
- Italian
Requirements:
- native speaker of one of the above languages, fluency in English
- excellent knowledge of your native language and ability to effectively carry out research when in doubt
- strong personal interest in playing games and the gaming industry
- attention to details and ability to spot mistake, problems and errors
- knowledge of writing bug reports or ability to learn how to effectively do so
- good communication skills
- experience in game testing / linguistic QA / software testing is a bonus
- degree in translation or localisation studies is a bonus
Responsibilities:
- playing one or more games with the aim to assist the localisation department
- direct point of contact to QA Lead / specific project managers / lead translators
- creating and following up on bug reports
- spotting problems, potential translation issues, spelling mistakes, logical errors
- assisting with query sheets
- ensuring quality, timely delivery and problem-solving
- willingess to do repetitive tasks
- assisting with or creating testing plans
- following up on requests quickly
