Assistant Localisation Manager with Irish
We are currently looking for an Irish-speaking Junior / Assistant Localisation Manager to join our team.
Requirements:
- degree in Irish translation studies or directly related field
- work experience in related position and/or certificate or degree in project management
- knowledge of at least one CAT tool
- dedication to team work (online and offline), ability to lead small teams
- ability to spot and solve problems
- good communication skills in English and Irish, other language skills are a bonus
- experience working as an in-house and/or freelance translator is a bonus
- personal interest in the gaming industry is a bonus
Responsibilities:
- assisting project management, personal assistance to selected project managers
- project planning (budgeting, deadlines, team selection, etc)
- point of contact for lead translator an/or translation team
- spot checking and quality checking source and target files
- preparing translatables, managing query sheets
- ensuring communication, quality, timely delivery and problem-solving throughout each project
- assisting the Irish translation team
- assisting quality assurance
- assisting marketing and business development
This is a full-time, in-house position to be filled by October 2012.
