Lead Translator / Senior Translator
We are currently looking for qualified, experienced and professional translators to work as Senior Translators / Lead Translators in our office in Ireland in their primary language pair and specialisation with the following language pairs:
- English > Irish
- German > English
- German > Spanish
Requirements:
- degree in translation studies or directly related field
- experience working as an in-house and/or freelance translator
- strong knowledge of at least one CAT tool
- interest in language and the language service industry
- dedication to quality and attention to detail
- knowledge of terminology maintenance
- dedication to team work (online and offline)
- ability to spot and solve problems
Responsibilities:
- translation of general text and/or translation of text in your field of specialisation
- proofreading other translators' translations
- spot checking and quality checking existing and new translations
- creating, maintaining and managing glossaries, terminology databases and translation memories
- assisting with the creation of translation tests and reviewing translation tests
- assisting project management
- assisting quality assurance
This is a full-time, in-house position to be filled by October 2012.
